Description
Over the last two storms, the city of New Haven has begun posting unhelpful responses in SCF regarding parking / towing issues.
After the blzzard, "City of New Haven" responded to many posts complaining about the draconian towing due to a poor plowing operation run by the city. The response "we said there would be a parking ban, CLOSED". Classy, at least use your name when you are posting from an official city method of communication and ignoring the
Fast forward to this storm. First we see the city post nitofcation of the parking ban about 6 hours before it was to go into effect. Then TT+P posts a wall of text regarding the ban when people have posted cars in blatant violation of said ban. Citizens are trying to help. We're saying "If this car gets towed, you can plow here". Instead, we get a form response about were we should park.
At least Doug H chimed in when someone was towed in error, and responded with a solution.
Other than that it seems as we get tested with more snow; our leaders fail and not only clearing the streets, but also in communicating in an effective manner.

Well said!
Last week I felt that we were off to such a good start. People were pointing out cars to be towed and they were getting towed. We all remembered the mess we had last year and wanted to work together to get the roads cleared. The City was actually acknowledging the SCF posts.
But then.. it was as if the DPW stopped working on Wednesday. No more replies, no more towing and no more street clearing.
Today, the City appears to be ignoring all Posts and requests.
I also thought the blanket posting of the "parking ban is still on" was quite rude and uncalled for.
Yes, XYZ.. I will remember and vote accordingly next election.
