Description

I am getting VERY sick of having to deal with the incredibly slow traffic on this road not to mention the backup that happens at the light at Koon Road. Widening this road into a 4-lane has been LONG overdue. It should only take me 30 minutes to get home from work in the afternoon but it takes a hair less than an hour because of this mess. It also seems that we have [Content Removed by SeeClickFix Administrator] that program the stop lights around Irmo because at 5am in the morning I have to sit at the same light at Koon road for about 5 minutes before it turns green. Do note, I am NOT turning off of Koon road but going past it. There needs to be some serious work done to the roads in Irmo and until I see a resolution, I won't pay a DIME in taxes to Richland County. All my vehicles will be registered in Fairfield and I will buy my groceries in Lexington. This has been a known problem for at LEAST 7 years that I remember and it seems to be looked over again and again.
