This is too bad. Consider too that hundreds of miles of natural growth forest had been destroyed up and down I95 a couple decades ago. Though it's all been replaced it's no longer the natural setting people came here for. I saw an areal photo of I95 a very long time ago in which a "cosmetic" row of trees was left up and down the sides of the highway to give the illusion the forests were still there. But if you parked your car and walked just a few yards in youd see miles of clear cut land. When I worked for a local business back in the 1990s they had a very large photo taken from the air that was of this clear cutting. It was blown up to the size of about 6 by 4 feet maybe larger and hung on one of the office walls. You could clearly see the Maine I-95 highway with the cosmetic row of trees (also to block high winds created by the clear cutting) and beyond that nothing but miles of clear cut land. It's mostly been replaced and after a few decades it's grown in again, minus a lot of species of trees. I think they replanted mostly pine. The natural-grown is gone : ( now they want to bring in all those turbines.
