On Christmas Morning 2011 at approx 2:30 a.m., Lavergne 911 received a call regarding smoke and flames visible at Specialty Arms II on Old Nashville Highway in Lavergne, TN. Lavergne Fire and Police responded with assistance from Smyrna Fire Department, Rutherford County EMS and EMA Rescue, and the Box 100 Disaster Response Team. First units on the scene reported ammunition explosions upon their arrival. All of these shots were taken from approx. 150 yards away on Murfreesboro Road.
