It is nearly impossible to cross the street from Whitney Ave towards Temple St along during the time that the pedestrian light is white. The wait for the time for pedestrians to cross is often upwards of several minutes, and then they often must pause at phelps triangle and wait again in order to cross to Temple st. The timing of the pedestrian signal should be lengthened.
