I know I spoke with some of the properties owners and they said if they knew about the water table they would never bought the house. I can only imagine what they go through when it rains hard. And also they cannot store anything in their basement. And they are all great people so I really feel sorry that they have to deal with that. However someone might get hurt out there. And fixing it is even easier. You are right you cannot connected a ground water to the sewer system it will only cause it to over flow. But you can connected the ground water to the storm water system. The project will cost pottstown less than $100,000.00 . So I would like to see pottstown spending some money on it's streets. They have not done anything for the passed 8 years. Not even paving on their own streets. I would like them to use some of our tax money to improve our life style. All that pottstown needs to do is introduced an 18" storm water pipe to gather all the water from the houses pumps and also will gather ground water and drain it into the inlet on the corner of jefferson ave and evans. They don't even need to do any grading the road way is sloped that way. But unfortunately pottstown is so cheap and won't do any work to improve our life style and protect. And that what really upsets me.

Sure, no problem. How many houses is it effecting? Take every home and make them pay their portion "TAX" of the $100,000 to fix the problem. If they don't want to pay then have a sherriff's sale on their house.

i think every house out there has paid much much more in tax than the $100,000.00 and have not got anything back from it yet. pottstown has to have a budjet for it's roadways but we have not seen any of that

I drove by there this weekend. There was no ice.

I know someone who lives on North Charlotte Street and their block is the same way. On of their neighbor's needed to get a pipe replaced. One person told their neighbor it would cost at least $10,000 because the main line is across the street. I know people across the street have sump pumps and at least three on the side closest to Evans St. The one person actually had to put in two pumps and may be putting in a third one.
