The timing of the lights at the MacArthur BART station, 40th and Telegraph, and 40th and MLK, Jr. Way all need to be examined. There is so much foot traffic that cars cannot get through the intersection in a three series of light changes. And, with cars and buses pulling over on 40th for passenger pick up and drop offs, this area is a nightmare. Yet, it's not safe enough to let folks walk from BART through the neighborhood without being mugged. Please look into longer light cycles, and maybe even a 4-way pedestrian crossing time like in downtown SF.
