Spearhead a fund raising program and get the ball rolling!

I whole heartedly agree. I was there two weeks ago and there is very little room even for a novice team as parents need to help with the childrens hockey gear. Parents and players constantly bump into each other while trying to dress. It does need a makeover in the whole lobby area.

There are midbet teams that have used tha Steuart Arena for years and have very few complaints. The dressing rooms have always been an issue but there is no easy solution. The refs room has also been an issue and was moved closer to the ice surface several years ago. The steuart Arena is Prince Alberts's newest arena and sometimes seems to be forgotten about. It has the best ice in town and most teams love playing there. The only solution for the dresseing room issue would be to build 4 new rooms on the south side of the Arena and have the players enter the ice threw the players box, but then there would be parking issues.

It was mentioned that it would cost $28,000 just to put a sink, shower and toilet in the referee's room. I can't imagine what new dressing rooms would cost.............................$450,000?????

I agree with west side but need to make the 4 their now into 2 and build 2 more as 4 is enough, why is it this city has always has poor planners for facilities.

I agree also with making the four dressing rooms into 2 rooms. The extra 2 rooms could be build out towards fairgrounds on west side of building. There also needs to be a female change room, so the girl players don't have to change over-top of a toilet. Possibly a decent wheelchair accessible washroom could be added at the same time. I can't speak for everyone, though I am quite sure that all the hockey, figure skating, and skating families that enjoy this facility would help with fundraising to help it happen ! It really could be so simple, and be under way in no time at all.

Just look at what Saskatoon did with the archibald arena .
