After hearing back from the Right of Way Inspector, I have been notified that the sidewalk will reopen on Thursday.

Will the detour be properly maintained/shoveled/clear of parked cars? Or will it remain un-usable until the sidewalk is reopened on Thursday?

I have been informed that with the sidewalk being closed, you shouldn't be walking anywhere around that area. Instead, you should be walking on the other side of the street, utilizing that sidewalk for safety reasons.

Then signage needs to be much better. There is no indication or sign at either intersection prior to this closure telling a pedestrian that they must cross the street to pass this area. Cleveland is 150' to the east, and Finn is 400' to the west.

I will certainly let the supervisor know so that he can relay the message for future sidewalk work. I apologize that the signage was not proper.

Not a problem and I thank you for explaining DPW's position. The area in the parking lane looked like it was a detour but then disappeared because two cars were parked there. It could've just been a marked off area for construction parking. But judging by how many footprints were there, it was being used quite a bit.
