So you are telling me it will be another 2 weeks before it gets completed? (As we get done the second week of the cycle)... correct me if I'm wrong... but if you can complete 98% of the city in 8 days... shouldn't the remaining 2% only take 1.25hrs (assuming 8 hr workdays)???? What did the city do this whole last week??? Unacceptable! And to think that my taxes will be going up next year is just sickening...

While up to 90% of residential areas are cleared within the first five business days, it can take up to two snow plow days/two weeks to complete an entire zone of residential areas. Some of our residential zones are quite large, with several neighbourhoods and lots of ground to cover, and can take us two weeks to complete.

Under our previous method of residential snow clearing residential areas were cleared twice in a winter season. So far this winter, we have cleared in residential areas four (4) times and are now on fifth (5th) rotation. Under our old system, it took us six (6) weeks to complete a residential area. Under our new system of residential snow cleairng, ot only takes up to two (2) weeks. Our productivity has increased by 300%.

So why did it take four weeks to complete our area once? I understand this system is "better" as you can go through the whole city (most of) in only 2 weeks... but this has been a repetitive issue (refer to issues 136597, 1435164, 144884 and 1455103). If you are going to brag to the daily herald tribune and other media outlets about how much better this system is... make sure your facts are straight.. if you say its 98% complete and the remainder will be completed the following week (which had above normal temperatures, and no new snow) shouldn't the 2% be completed the next day, and then focus on the lower priority items such as cleaning meridians and removing subdivision snowpiles?
