Description

The traffic signal is not malfunctioning, but I have a safety concern. I see at least 3 to 4 drivers in a 5 day period every week run the red light at the intersection at Edwards Mill Rd and the on ramp to Wade Avenue.

The lights turn green at different times and due to driver inattention drivers are running the red lights. There have been many near miss accidents at these intersections.

For example, if you are heading north on Edwards Mill and you are at the stop light at Edwards Mill and East Wade Avenue, the light at the next intersection at West Wade Avenue will turn green. If the drivers are not paying attention they will run the red light not realizing their light has remained red. This does allow for better traffic flow, but I see this happen during rush hour traffic and I am concerned about safety. In the past 2 days I have seen 3 cars run the red light and they had to swerve to miss a car entering Edwards Mill from Wade Avenue.
