Description

The signal timing at North Druid Hills Road at Executive Parkway causes a major backup on the ramp from I-85 North to North Druid Hills Road south. When the signal at the ramp turns green TWO lanes of traffic empty on to North Druid Hills Rd south (towards Toco Hills). At the same time the light at Executive Parkway/Tullie Rd & North Druid Hills Rd turns red, blocking most traffic from exiting the ramp due to the proximity of these two traffic signals. The timing here needs to allow for more traffic to exit the ramp. Sometimes it takes 6+ light cycles to exit the ramp in evening traffic due to the Executive Parkway/Tullie Rd signal not being coordinated with the ramp signal.
