Description

Resident poured excess concrete from garage foundation reconstruction along alley next to fence. Concrete covers up down guy from power pole in alley. If it ever needs replaced, crews will have to chip concrete away from anchor. Concrete was poured by Scioto Ready Mix on Nov 11, 2014.

Please show evidence of alley being vacated. It is an active alley. Alley runs east off N. Cedar to Essex, between Arlington and Ballard.

I think you're missing the whole thing. It's not the same alley, this one intersects the other one. The other one runs north/south, this one runs east/west. The original problem still exists. I believe you are mistaken on which alley I'm referring to.

This concrete also keeps rain and other surface water from draining, causing excess water and ice buildup on alley surface making it dangerous to navigate.

Also, since work was performed in public right of way with no apparent permit issued, this violates City Ordinance 1022 according to Brandon Varner, Assistant Streets/Traffic Superintendent.
