Description

Dorset St is unsafe for pedestrians by the mall, both for pedestrians walking north-south past the mall (both sides of the street) and crossing Dorset St. There needs to be a pedestrian signal for the north-south direction at B&N, at Market St and at Healthy Living. Also, the pedestrian signal to cross Dorset St gives cars leaving the mall a green light at the same time as a pedestrian is meant to cross. These locations needs the traffic stopped to coincide with the pedestrian signal like we have at the corner of Kennedy/Hinesburg and we have on Williston Rd. This is a dangerous situation that needs to be addressed before a pedestrian is killed.
