Description
This house at the corner of 18th and Fitzwater is boarded up and a blight on the neighborhood. L&I should go out there and post one of their new pink notices to get the owner to clean it up or sell it. The owner owes $30,000 in back taxes as well.

And it's been like this for at least 6 years, since I moved into the are. Craziness that in this neighborhood that is changing for the better that this huge eyesore has never been addressed!

Something needs to be done. It's been this way for several years, and it is a huge eyesore on a street mostly occupied by conscientious home-owners.

As of today, they owe $32,144.78 in back taxes and there are 10 liens on the property. The windows are broken, the house is practically falling down, and a neighborhood of tax-paying homeowners have to look at that mess.

How has this report been declared null? Is this a joke? The house is practically falling over.

$33,000 in back taxes. Broken Windows. Broken Sidewalks. 4 foot stacks of cardboard and newspapers on the inside. This thing is a tinderbox just waiting for a spark to take the whole block down in a fire.
Somebody needs to do something.

This house is vacant. Nobody lives here and it's a blight on the neighborhood. This is exactly the type of property that should be sent to auction. What's being done about this?

Why isn't anything being done about this property?

According to L&I both 740 and 742 S. 18th are in the sheriff sale process for tax delinquency. No word as to when they appear for auction.

Is there any new news on this property? New luxury townhouses are being built on the same block, but this house looks ready to fall down.
