I have reported it, Justin was told they were asked to stop, but there was just another ad on Craig s list so they are ignoring the building depts order. This is zoned as a 4 family NOT A ROOMING house. The people they rent week to week and it is destroying the area. All the work that Economic Devl. has been doing is being undone in months by this greedy slum lord...Diamond management. THE COMMUNITY WILL PROTEST if they try to get one...and we better be notified if they do. BUT IN THE MEAN TIME SHUT IT DOWN!

How about the decent ones that live there ? I'm no fan of these LLC slumlords,but some working people answered an ad for a room for rent,paid,moved in,and of course that one or two bad apples moved in and from the sound of it,immediately started their bad habits and true colors etc.- If the two male prostitutes don't reside here it's a good chance they use the place to wash/smoke crack..And so the honest ones are reporting the issues to the landlord (?) and calling the police on the rabble,now they will have to move,maybe that's why some residents never call ?! P.S. - where is LCI and the city's publicity stunt men for when the call for funding is needed from Hartford ? Funny how i've seen these folks on www.sots.state of ct finance lists for the mayor

Correction : I have seen these landlords and other bad entities on that web site list.It is hard to control who or what is contributing,especially when your campaign workers know not or care not what activity they are involved in..From what i've heard and have been reading,these landlord hustlers are not going to spend money on eviction,they needed the place fully rented and wanted to go back to wherever and not be bothered.They get desperate and stop background checks,sometimes they are dealing with drug programs,ACCESS programs and other subsidies for the tenant/subject..At times the do gooders pay for 6 months at a time.- Also, a strange coincidence that the abode is flooded with activity at appraissal time.

City working on it. Sign is gone. No more criags list postings but I was told they are still renting the rooms.

Update: the owners are trying to get a special exemption to turn this into a legal rooming house on May 8th, 200 Orange street, 6:30. The residents and venders are fighting it. Remember these owners have the worst track record in New Haven. They have been operating it illegally for a number of years. This community has come a long way, this is the only and biggest road block to this area becoming an amazing place to live and do business.! Please help us and stand with us at the hearing on the 8th. Remember there are several other community that are having the same issues with this property owner. They own 60-70 property's in the city and all are close to blighted and they use every loop hole to slide past LCI!

My heart goes out to any decent tenants of this abode , if there's any..Affordable housing is so tough to find these days ,hardworking single people and at times couples would love to live here or continue staying here.. Some renters don't realise that until they're evicted and seriously looking for a rent, as their time is spent on pleasures and party alone..I don't think the neighbors would be so up in arms without justification, now i'm thinking this establishment is another 173-175 Whitney Ave. , that was a major brood of vipers, with a few honest decent john does in there, who could'nt own a TV or even a bicycle due to their neighbors and the neighbors posse of guests..Then i really pity the community that has to live in fear,relentless car break ins, bike seats,potted plants -curse the people who buy the stolen goods as being lower that the low
