This is a large problem. Many homeowners in the area are fed up. The dog feces and amount of litter laying about, carelessly tossed in front of so many of these buildings so that it flies all about the neighborhood, is appalling. My husband and I regret moving to this area, and especially regret purchasing a home here. The quality of life on both Van Cortlandt Park Avenue and Cliff Street are incredibly poor and, from the looks of it, there is no hope of things getting better. The problem starts with the building owners and trickles down to the tenants, and extends to the officials that are failing to do their part in helping to improve the quality of life in these neighborhoods. If anyone reading this is interested in purchasing a home on this side of Yonkers, don't! You may end up in a neighborhood like this one and without support!
