The mattress in the foreground is recent, and may not be connected to the pile in the background. That pile is in front of a parking lot, not a residence, and is directly across Edgewood Avenue from a large apartment complex. I have reported piles of junk in this exact spot maybe 4 or 5 times this past year. Every time LCI cleans it up, they say they've talked to the management, but a couple of months later another pile of junk shows up in the same place. I wish someone knew what to do about repeat offenders.
Thanks for reporting this issue. We need the community's help to solve these incidents. Please report any information you may have about this incident or any illegal dumping you witness to Non Emergency 203-946-6316. We will pick up the items when we can.
When will your department pick up the remaining barricades on Ellsworth Avenue & Stanley Street? They've been there since Labor Day from the New Haven Road Race. One of your employees even stapled a "No Parking" sign to it for street sweeping notification.
We are closing older 2013-2016 Illegal Dumping Issues found on Public Spaces (roads, tree belts, sidewalks) in order to focus on current Issues. Many of the older issues were addressed through our Streets Division but were never closed. If your “public space illegal dumping” issue has not been addressed, please open a new See Click Fix issue. Thanks
