It's sad to see this same generic comment, but no resolution. This issue is only getting worse. I see a similar complaint was sent 12/15 for Swanson Rd. Yet the City expects us to pay personal property taxes, stormwater fees(for who know what), etc. on time. You don't even sand the 6000 block of Worthington Rd during icy weather conditions until being called several times, even though you are already on the streets surrounding us, I've had to call for the past 3 years/winter seasons. You don't post adequate signage for leaf collections on this side of Whitehead Rd. In no way does these several instances equate to "Building The Best Richmond" together.

I agree this is awful ! The city just destroyed our road and has left it like this for weeks my bronchitis is acting up from all of this dust in the air now, I may have to go to the hospital because of all this dust!

The Department of Public Works has received many concerns in regards to this project. the Capital Project Manager in the Department of Public works has stated that the project will be complete in the spring time. The reason for this delay is due to the weather conditions. Asphalt paving cannot be completed while it is raining. Paving must also be delayed if it has rained recently enough for the ground to still be wet. Also the air needs to be dry as well as warm temperatures. Currently the streets have loose gravel on them which is called chip seal. Chip seal is placed on the ground to prevent water from penetrating the paved surface as well as preventing damage to the pavement such as minor cracks. The department will have to come out and do a sweep but no date was given for that. This request will be closed out in SCF but again the Department is aware of this concern. If they knew the weather was such an important factor, why even start in the cold???? Again, the city just paved the asphalt within the past 2 months prior to this, which seemed to be fine. Now the pavement is dusty, potholes are present, gravel is flying damaging cars, and there are no lines on a major thoroughfare to separate the 5 lanes of traffic on Whitehead Rd. but we have to wait several more months for any resolution. Why would they even bother causing all these problems unnecessarily, yet the issues that need work go unresolved.

I agree there should be accountability held for this, how can the city allow for such a busy intersection to remain unmarked and not properly paved, just because this area of the city is not off a high income area does not mean that we should be left in the literal dust. We as the people have spoke.
