You have to slow down for the hump anyway so keep going slow until you are past the problem areas on either side
resident (Guest)
You have to be kidding (mt) your answer to the problem is to go slower because of the bad roads in Kingston.
mt (Guest)
Resident until they are fixed what else can you do except slow down?

its as though anybody in charge of kingston streets care kingston is right at the top of the list when it comes to having the worst roads in the state just like our federal govt they need to throw out the bums in charge

the bridge expansion joints are raised slightly causing the bump. Thids is due to change in temperature. No asphalt is needed it will make it worse when the joint moves again

This is on our patch list - it should be done today or tomorrow

DPW can you put some blacktop were the road grade starts to go up on the north side of the hump, thanks for what you have done so far.
resident (Guest)
I know this isn't the best time to bring this up but maybe in the spring the DPW can repair the roadway on both sides of the overpass on Albany ave.
wrecking my car on kingston streets (Guest)
we have all commented on this before the road where the bridge meets the blacktop is horrible the worse part is that it is a easy fix if the dpw could find some ambition lets start bringing them car repair bills to see if we can motovate them after all why pay taxes

Th attitude on this posting is not helpful. There are places in every city where roads are bad, and having just come up from Brooklyn, you guys are clueless if you think Kingston is anywhere NEAR the worst in the state.
They have patched it. It may need patching again. If you think it is bad enough to actually damage your car (and I have to admit - I drive this road and do not recall it being particularly bad), then provide a picture to prove it.
Use this site to gather support - don't expect DPW to read everypost. They fortunately do read many, but if I were them, I'd ignore this...

Thank God vadhopper is back in Kingston to lead us in what needs to be fixed and what to ignore, O please don't close this post, vadhopper

How about slowing down ?
resident (Guest)
The city is doing some road work on albany ave repairing some sink holes, would they please repair the ruff road at the hump over the tracks. thanks DPW
vadhopper
resident, let's be constructive. I don't close issues where there are people talking about fixing them.
Has the recent patching job corrected the problem? If so, close the issue, if not, please be explicit in what is needed. And be sure to call DPW. They have clearly attempted to fix this, so perhaps picture and a phone call will help get it resolved to your satisfaction.

No this has not been fixed, the city has to look at all of albany ave. it is in need of repair.

This still needs to be repaired, but if it hasn't been done after two yrs. I dout that it will be done!
