Description

Crosswalk was rebuilt a few years ago at the intersection of Whalley Avenue and Sherman Avenue and this manhole was left depressed 4in below the grade of the crosswalk. This is a serious trip hazard for pedestrians, cyclists and baby carriages, as well as causes automobiles and motorcycles to swerve in order to avoid it (or not and risk injury to the car). This is an extremely busy intersection with about 16 lanes leading into it. This manhole needs to be raised, as well as the others along Whalley Avenue.
