Description

There has been a Commercial Trailer / Food truck parked on the street for over a year now. It has never moved. Other cars have been towed because of street sweeping, but this trailer has never been given any violations. The owner has a driveway where he can keep it, but does not. It is not only taking up valuable parking space, it is also parked in front of someone else's home who is too afraid to ask for them to move it.

This person can no longer park their car in front of their own home and on the side where they used to park. During the winter (which is going to start soon with the snow) the person who lives in the house the trailer is parked in front of, has to shovel her own way around this trailer. The plows cannot plow the street properly.

It is also a one way street, and it blocks the view of the road for others.

I'm asking for you to please help me with this situation. I never want to be a bother to other people, but this is causing way too much extra work for someone who is not even responsible for the vehicle. I also believe it is against the laws/codes for someone to park a commercial vehicle like this.

Thank you. A concerned citizen and lifelong resident of New Haven.
