Description

Thru-trucks are not permitted on N. Front Street between Middletown Avenue and Grand Avenue; however, dozens and dozens go down the street everyday. N.Front St is made of landfill. It cannot take the weight of vehicles that should not be on it: empty school buses, Anastasio trucks, city trucks, etc. We have contacted the city engineer and the police a number of times over a few years. Nothing is being done. Meanwhile, historic homes - homes on the National Historic Registry - are sustaining structural damage. No one is acting. There is NO policing by ticketing through trucks. The city engineers says Front St is not comprised of fill, so it should not be a problem. It is a problem.
