I really think that rule makers have no common sense. For one thing there are plenty of lights in town that blink yellow with a left turn. Second, common sense of driving is if you are making a left turn and crossing traffic you do not have the right a way. The makers of road rules and traffic flow should really go to Europe and study traffic flow. it is smooth and continuous and gas mileage is very high. The only time they run lights is when it is necessary, not 5am in the morning sitting at a red light with no other car in sight... the only smart thing Bangor has done is put two traffic circles in. we could use about 20 more. and why the heck didn't they put an southbound on ramp and union st and interstate 95 while they are right there working ??
