I would just like a clarification... The Snow Route signs that have a No Parking Symbol on them and the dates Nov 15-Apr 15... Does that mean that nobody should be parking on the roadsides between these dates every year? That's how I read them, I just don't understand what the citizens who choose to park there don't get. I also don't understand that if that's the case and people are not supposed to be parking there, why does the city not ticket the offenders? Its clear as day, its against the bylaws, its a huge safety hazard with a windrow in the middle of the road and vehicles parked on the side of the road as there is little room to get by... Ticket these people and supplement your snow removal budget with ticket revenue. There have already been a ton of accidents year after year, hit and runs, people scraping other peoples vehicles... Just waiting for someone to get killed before the city does something about it??? Why must the windrow sit there for weeks on end? Don't plow if you cant do the job right. Why do a half @#$% job and endanger peoples property and lives.

The Bylaw states the City can issue Parking Bans between the dates listed on the sign.
We are working with local Media to inform residents to remove their vehicles so our equipment can safely operate in these residential areas and avoid any unnecessary damage. Transportation and Enforcement will be monitoring parking issues that arise during snow removal.
