I agree, all theses roads and sidewalks in cove are horrible. Yet we still pay the same amount of high taxes, and yet get nothing done for this side of town. And yet the city still has the nerve to ticket people in the cove for parking their cars in front of their house the wrong way!! There is something wrong here, we keep giving the city ridilous amounts of money, and they do NOTHING for our neighborhood. It is time us morris covers got together anf fight for our neighborhood. Maybe we need the media in here!!
Walking the neighborhood gets more difficult every season. Broken sidewalks, curbs, streets make it frustrating and dangerous to clear snow. Snow-throwers have been damaged. Sidewalks on Townsend across from the Seawall are among the worst, with imbedded broken-off iron street sign stumps. The Cove's streets and sidewalks deserve some long overdue attention!
Its not potholes. There are no streets over here. CIty of New Haven, please stop ignoring the problem. We are asking for a City Official, not pothole fillers, to come over here and see the issue. We are paying thousands in taxes. These roads have not been taken care of since the 1970s. Next step will be to call WTNH.
I agree, this is not a potholes situation this is the crumbling of the sidewalks and streets of morris cove. To be honest all the little patch jobs they do only make some roads worse. And the sidewalks forget, most of them are unwalkable. It.It just amazes me how we get nothing down here, except traffic and parking to give us tickets. This is just ridiculous, and I think us neighbors should come together and call the paper and wtnh. Let the people know how one of the biggest taxpayers of the city are treated. IF someone could organize some people to get together let's call the news and paper and let are story be known, since this site does nothing for us. Maybe , just maybe then they will listen to our needs and concerns we have had for over 10 plus years here in morris cove
