The Town of North Hempstead has reviewed your complaint. If this is for a rental occupancy the landlord must first me be notified of the problem. If the landlord refuses to repair or has failed to rectify the situation a complaint may be submitted to the Town's Building Department for a residential home. If this is for an apartment building, management must be first notified, you may also contact the Nassau County Health Department at 516-227-9697, if the issue is not corrected by management a building complaint can be submitted.
