I hope they fix it soon, I almost had an accident on my bike (motor scooter) :-(

It's not repaired still, it's only been patched over with loose asphalt. Also, new weaknesses have begun spreading around it, so now the beginnings of an expanded sinkhole cross the street and runs back towards 10th Street. It's only a matter of weeks before those cracks open up and become actual gaps. It would be cheaper to address it now.

It still is a problem. The shoddy patch-job is itself already begun to collapse. It needs to be repaired properly, not just by throwing in some dirt until it's high enough to put some asphalt on top of it.

The hole is worse than ever, now just about impassable for a small car like we drive, and this is the block we live on. The road is heavily traveled with freight trucks out of the Italian Market, accelerating the deterioration. I have attached a photo.

Evidently a crew was here jackhammering a few days ago, but they left the hole in worse condition than it was in before they'd begun. What the heck?

This issue remains open, just like the growing pot hole that's going to break someone's axle any minute now…
