Description

Wind is picking up, and man killed in Mt. Pleasant by tree, so I figured I'd finally report this. There is a very large tree along the path, just north of the Q street bridge, which lost one of it's large limbs in the last storm. The tree is about 100 feet tall and has a three way crotch at about halfway up. One of the three limbs came down in the storm a month ago. The remaining tree is now a Y, with two exceptionally tall branches hanging out over the path, and about 1/3 of the tree mass gone at the connection. It's going to go down in the next big windstorm and it could kill someone. The Park Service cleaned up the branch, (which was laying all the way across Rock Creek), but didn't touch the tree. PLEASE cut this down before someone dies.
