Bike parking needed along Broadway and York - bikes are locked to all available posts (which are not bike racks) and there still isn't enough space. How about we keep the parking spaces for cars that pay taxes twice a year, plus sales tax, plus registration, plus tickets etc, and lock bikes (that pay a one time 6.25% sales tax and nothing else) to poles & trees

your logic is really flawed. so, you want us to stop riding bikes and get cars so that there is even MORE competition for the spots you circle our city for, causing unnecessary congestion?
many cyclists also own cars, so your taxes/reg. argument is moot.
i completely agree that this area needs more bike racks, especially since i make several trips a week to shop there, on my bike, and i have noticed this as well. thanks for posting the issue, tamara!

I always have trouble parking my bike there. Sometimes I skip spending a few bucks in the Broadway area because trolling for a free sign to tether to is inconvenient. Shop keepers should jump on this issue.
