Thank you for your SeeClickFix notification dated October 24, 2014. Chief Holloway has asked me to respond directly to you regarding your issue with the illegal parking in the area of 26 Street and 8 Avenue North, around St. Pete High School. The information you provided was forwarded to Community Service Sergeant Richard Hladik to investigate.

Sergeant Hladik reported that he assigned Officer Mitch Detty to investigate the parking situation during football games. Officer Detty made contact with St. Pete High School’s School Resource Officer to discuss the situation with him. He stated when calls are made in reference to the problem the School Resource Officer will either patrol the area himself or he will contact the Communications Division and ask for assistance. Please feel free to contact the non-emergency number at (727)893-7780 when a violation is observed so that it may be dealt with while it is occurring.

Thank You. We have had issues with parking on 7th and 8th avenue along with theft after the football games from front yards after the games have ended for the past month.
