Wow! It looks like I'm not the only one complaining! I called the city, and come to find out that THREE other people have complained about this yard! They are looking into it to see what to do. And yes, IT IS MY BUSINESS WHEN IT COULD POTENTIALLY BRING DOWN HOUSE VALUES, AND THAT INCLUDES MINE. AND YES IT IS MY BUSINESS WHEN NEARLY ALL OF THE HOUSES IN THE AREA ARE WELL KEPT.

get real, people! the lady has a point. poorly maintained yards/properties DO bring down property values and most people get distraught over that kind of thing. i'm sure i wouldn't enjoy living near these people if it as bad as she says it is. the point is there is no excuse to leave your property a mess. if she has a garage, keep the good things and organize them in the garage and throw the rest away... or put it in a basement or something. i havent seen it for myself, but if four people complained about it then it must be a heavy contrast from the rest of the neighborhood

i don't blame the lady! i live in avon and had no choice but to report my neighbor. he had tons of junk laying in his driveway up against his garage and piled up on his back porch. the city came and made him clean it up when i complained that it would make property values drop. they promptly showed up and ordered him to clean it up. the "disgruntled lady" is right and i know how she feels especially if the rest of the neighborhood is nice and well kept

I've decided to give up! Apparently people don't care about their property values or the way their neighborhood looks. It's sad when you make an effort to make your neighborhood a good place to live with great property values, and you get criticized for it.
