Description

Recycling pickup occurred at 6 am again this morning and woke up the entire street. Is it ok to violate the noise ordinance?

This is about the time they come down my street on the opposite side of town for Trash/ Recycling. I can't say I like it either but figure they only have so many trucks and can't wait until later to start. I'd be curious as to how they figure out routes. One good thing, now that it is dark they seem to come at least a little bit later.

Not sure how times this needs to be said, but the city vehicles are exempt from that ordinance.

They came by my house around 6:23. I was up so this did not bother me. I wonder why the time has changed though. For many years neither trash nor recycling on this street was picked up until several hours later.

Closed Department of Public Works (Verified Official)

We are closing older Trash and Recycling issues in order to focus on current ones. Many of the issues reported were resolved by our routine Trash and Recycling Services. Some of the older Trash and Recycling issues were ordinance violations which were responded to by warnings and tickets. If your particular Trash and Recycling issue was not resolved, please open up a new 2019 issue. Thanks.
