Description

When DDOT redesigned the lanes on 35th just south of Reservoir, it created a turning lane and narrowed the southbound lane. Now the southbound lane is not wide enough for a car (per DDOT standards of a 9-10 foot lane width minimum) when cars are parked in the zone 2 parking spaces on the southbound side. Either some parking spaces need to be removed or the turning lane needs to be redesigned. When cars are parked in the southbound parking spaces, the southbound traffic lane is 5-6 feet wide (tops!) . Buses, trucks and most cars can't make this turn.
