Thank you for contacting the City of Shoreline. We have assigned service request number 56986 for our Customer Response Team to respond and investigate the improperly placed recycling and trash cars.
The City has a backlog of sidewalk service requests. The majority of City work on sidewalk repair, maintenance and new construction is supported by grant monies. These monies have been awarded mainly to renovation and construct new sidewalks under the “Safe Route to School” grant program for elementary school routes. High schools and middle schools, we find, are less likely to be awarded these grants.
To address the need for construction of new sidewalks, the City Council adopted a Transportation Master Plan on December 12, 2011 which prioritized and ranked sidewalk projects throughout the City based upon a series of criteria. However, given limited resources as a result of the current economy, the City has been focused on constructing sidewalks that meet very specific Federal and State programs.
If you have any further questions please contact us at 206-801-2700.
Thank you.

Please provide a specific address(es) where the recycling and trash cans are left out after garbage pick up. The cans must be currently out blocking pedestrian access so we can work with the resident(s) to provide a clear and safe passage for pedestrians.

At any time there are several (2-3) recycling/trash carts out on 15th Ave NE, on the north west corner of 15th Ave NE and NE Perkins way. I don't know who these belong to.

CRT Representative picked up 3 containers that did not belong to any resident. Recology will pick the containers us from City Hall.
