Just requesting an update on this, now that it has been a month since initial report. Thank you.

We are having some survey work done to determine where our property and right-of-way boundaries are. We cannot remove the fence if it is on private property we do not own, however we intend to remove everything that is either on our lot or on the right-of-way.

Thank you for checking on it. Can the city require the owners of the fence to repair it?

Unfortunately, no. Unless overgrown brush creates a nuisance violation or the dilapidated fence is a hazard to people on a sidewalk this would be primarily an aesthetic issue which our codes would not address.

We will be removing our section of fence in the next couple of days. The remainder of the fence is on other residents' properties.
