Description
All the Street Lights going Eastbound from University Dr and Pines Blvd until almost 72nd Ave, have been off for a long time. I reported it to FPL but apparently they don't provide maintenance for those street lights. This is mostly a safety issue, since lots of pedestrians are now crossing the street with very few visibility for drivers. On top of that dark spots like that do not bring any good to the neighborhood. Why do we have those lights off with all the taxes that we pay? Same thing happens in University Dr and Johnson St going Eastbound...except for the first 2 street lights starting at University and Johnson; the rest of them are useless all the way down to at least NW 77th Way. This is another dark spot with lots of danger due to the speeding of vehicles. Not very long ago the grocery store was held up resulting in a shoot out and that was not the first time so; having not lights on the street would not persuade the wrong people from trying it again. This issue has been going on for the longest and nobody has done anything to fix those lights. I reported that to FPL as well, their respsonse was the same. City hall should take care of it. that is not their task.

It is lack of manpower? do we need some fresh blood Mayor change in the Hall? This is your third term as a Mayor; perhaps you don't feel the need to work as hard as you may have done in your first term or is it that you don't care anymore about the City Pembroke Pines?

They must have done secretly so we wouldn't notice! I have not idea when they fixed them but...fortunately they did it!
