Description

The walk signal is still flashing (about 10 seconds before turning from a flashing red hand to a full stop red hand) when the oncoming traffic's signal switches to green. This means that people crossing the intersection may be fooled into walking directly into oncoming car traffic (or alternately, that oncoming car traffic will be deluded into driving into still-crossing pedestrian traffic)
