Description
Received my annual flooding and flood protection mailer from the Director of City Engineering and made me think of a restricted drainage issue I have noticed in our neighborhood. Not only is the creek obstructed but so is the drainage field that was built behind 470, 468,466, 464 and 462 Natures Way SW homes. Numerous trees have grown in the drainage filed and is obstructing water flow. The creek also has numerous obstructions that could cause a flooding issue if we have large amounts of rain.

The drainage ditch here is not accesible for us to get in.We would have to access private property (Breland Homes) and will not be able to do so at this time. Our supervisor came out to check this and spoke with a few neighbors here who like the trees there for the privacy. The trees are not causing a blockage for drainage. The portion of the ditch nearest the bridge will be dipped out.
Thanks!
