Description
Can something be done about people not using the side walks. We wear seat belts to protect us from some injuries,It's the law. When will we be protected from being forced into compromising situations because people hang out in the street. The other thing is we need to educate the general public about the
cross walk law. Vehicles must stop if there is a person in the cross walk. We know that. When a vehicle
is moving on a city street and has the light people should not walk off the curb forcing cars to slam on the breaks and then give attitude because it's a cross walk.

I'm not sure what this article is suggesting - or if this is the forum to deal with it. I am often annoyed by people walking on street rather than sidewalk - but the sidewalks are often very rough - and this time of year, not everyone puts salt down - so it is dangerous walking on some sidewalks. So I'm not sure there is any good solution to that.
Regarding the crosswalks - I believe we should have more signs indicating cars must stop in the crosswalk. I am not sure what the suggestion is that arc angel is offering.
