Description

Greetings. I live next to a small factory and their lot at the corner of Laurel and Elm. The lot is usually used by employees of the police and water departments to park their personal vehicles. Some of the drivers use a shortcut to enter the lot by driving across the end of our driveway and across part of the sidewalk.
I would like to politely ask that they refrain from doing that. I am concerned that the constant driving over that area (by large trucks, for example) will prematurely degrade the sidewalk and our driveway entrance. (They seem to be only avoiding the traffic light with this maneuver? The entrace to the lot is very wide on the Elm Street side.) Also, I am asking that persons who park there be mindful of litter. The factory does not seem to devote any staff to clean the lot.
For example, there are often items such as empty cigarette packs. The cigarette packs are there regularly, leading me to guess it is a person who parks there regularly rather than a pedestrian who is responsible. Thanks.
