The issue is closed?? Nothing has been done to resolve the issue. If it was turned over to Parking Enforcement will they install more signs and re-paint the curb in addition to writing more tickets?

Thank you for your feedback. Your request for repainting the curb, and for signage was sent to the Traffic Engineering Department. The parking division handles enforcement of illegal parking violations. Upon follow up with the Parking Division, they have requested that citizens phone 505-924-3950 to report any parking violations.

I do that already. How about they schedule enforcement efforts rather than us having to call. Are violators being ticketed or warned? A ticket or towing might help.

Thank you for your feedback. The Parking Division has an officer assigned to your area who performs several rounds daily. Each round includes a visit to this location.

Still not fixed. The yellow curb is still faded and they still need more signage.

Thank you for your feedback. A work order was created on February 25, 2010 for the curb painting. The responsible department has stated it will be approximately 60 days before completion.

And what about additional signage or replacing the fading signs?

people dont seem to know that the yellow curb means "no parking." lettering on the curb to that effect would be nice or no parking signs. idling or parking here with people waiting in car unacceptable. with cares parked on both sides of gold this street becomes ONE LANE.

You are absolutely right! And that's why I initiated this. People are still ignoring the yellow curbs and the few no parking signs. This is a real burden on those legitimately working in the area and needing to have unrestricted access to this narrow street. Perhaps a sign on the entrance to the building saying that anyone parked on the yellow curb will be ticketed or towed. Yeh, maybe the city should start towing the vehicles anytime someone calls in to report the vehicles there. You can call 242-2677 non-emergency police or 924-3950 parking division when you see cars there illegally. These are all visitors to probation/parole offices. Maybe the parole officers should make legal parking part of the parole/probation requirements???
