I reported this issue weeks ago. As usual, nothing happened.
Which City agency issued the permit for the Labor Day road race? Which agency or organization is responsible for removing the barricades? Seems simple - Whomever put the barricades there should be responsible for removing them. But then again, this is New Haven...
I am not sure who decides on which people get sent emails about issues that are reported here, but if you click on an issue then click on the word notified you can add names to be notified from the list provided. For example, I clicked on the police addresses on the list that had not been sent...hope this helps!
As I walk my dog around the neighborhood, I am seeing these barriers dismantled and stacked everywhere! Who IS responsible for collecting them?
After the St. Pat's parade, which musters here, the barriers and potable johns are gone the next day.
This situation is disgraceful! Police, Public Works & Parks have vehicles all over this neighborhood every day. They must see these barriers too. And not one employee of our City has the initiative or sense of responsibility to say to their supervisor, "Here's a small problem we could solve in a couple of hours, to make us look good in the public eye." What negativity for our City when so many public employees look at this situation every day and think, "Not my problem…"
No, leave this issue Open until somebody in the city administration wakes up and does their job right. It's a symptom of organizational mismanagement. Somebody put all these barriers out last August; why doesn't that same department go collect them? And why has nobody in the Administration acknowledged this issue here on SeeClickFix?
Reluctantly, I close this issue. Nobody in the Harp Administration ever responded to this issue, either in word or in deed. Plus, new and different barricades from St. Patrick's Day now litter the neighborhood. Such a sloppy, careless, mismanaged mayor we have. Let's get rid of her.
