Description
There is not an arrow signal turning left onto Wake Forest Rd. off of Navaho Dr. It is a major hazard, as people are trying to turn left at the same time as the traffic coming the opposite way is turning right onto Wake Forest Rd. Also, the light is so short, only 1-2 cars get through. The light for the traffic on Wake Forest Rd. is exceptionally long, so you can sit for 5-7 minutes at the light on Navaho, just waiting for a chance to turn. We need a left turn arrow before there is a major wreck here! People are turning left anyway, not giving the right of way to those turning right onto Wake Forest and it's dangerous. Thank you.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. I will update this issue when I have heard back from them. Thanks for reporting.
This intersection is very close to the Beltline interchange, making it a very difficult signalization issue. There is also very little traffic coming from Executive / Navaho compared to the traffic moving in a variety of directions on WF. I will ask the traffic engineers to respond, but I know that in the past they have indicated that Executive Drive was specifically set up to provide access from Navaho to the St. Alban's Drive intersection further north. This allows motorists on Navaho to make a much safer movement onto southbound Wake Forest from a fully cycled intersection at St. Albans that is not affected as much by the Beltline interchange. I will let them speak for themselves however.
