Description
This pictures below are a bit outdated, as they are pictures taken from Google Maps over the past couple of years. The problem with the sidewalk is obviously much worse now.
In fact, a good part of the sidewalks on Oak Hill Rd. are in bad shape. However, one of the most broken/uneven areas is from the corner of Oak Hill Road./Colgate down to Greendale Avenue. It looks like the sidewalks on both sides of the street are the original ones from the late 60's. The irregularities in the side walks (probably due to age, lack of continual maintenance, normal wear and tear, and the significant amount of tree roots from trees on the aptly named street) pose a significant slip and fall hazard. The sidewalk is conservatively broken in >100 spots along that route. Grass is growing between the cracks in many locations.
In the interests of public safety, and given that there is a good amount of traffic to the Mitchell School on these walkways, as well as regular heavy traffic from families in the neighborhood, please replace, or repair, sections of sidewalk before this winter.
* I do not own 44 Oak Hill Road.

I highly recommend the Highway Division walk up and down Oak Hill Road. The outdated Google Street views show a problem that has only magnified over the past couple of years. Another example below.

sidewalk study should be completed by December, 2016 at which time the Town will review and draft a priority sidewalk improvement list and seek funding.

The Town implemented a sidewalk inventory and condition survey during the fall of 2015. A Town hired Engineering Firm has almost completed this study. This winter, the Town will review a draft priority list and seek funding at Town Meeting. Minor patch is scheduled to fill several 1./2 inch cracks.
Thank you for the information
