After posting at least 2 (possibly 3) request explaining WHY we need a traffic light at this intersection, there has STILL been no response as to ANYONE looking into putting one up!! The intersection down the street has one, the intersection before this has one. I do not understand WHY the city will not put on here at OHB and Southfork entrance!! Over the years there have been SEVERAL accidents and also fatals ones at that along with ALWAYS having VERY close calls when people try to pull out onto OHB (specially turning left). Cars trying to turn left onto OHB when traffic is clear are ALWAYS having to slam on their brakes at the last second because cars coming from the right turn into Southfork without any signaling and at times they even turn in without using the turn lane (turning in to Southfork from the traffic lane instead of center turn lane). SOMEBODY needs to address this and do something about it!!!
In fact, just the other day, I was behind my son in his truck and he almost got "plowed" into by a speeder the decided to turn in to Southfork..Of course he had to stop and as the car past, she gave him the "bird" finger and a few choice words!! He was already out in the road when she turned in!!
All I can say, If one of my family members gets involved in an accident at this intersection and it is NOT their fault, I will be contacting an attorney..not only to sue the other person but to also sue the city...ENOUGH is ENOUGH already!!! There have been WAY to many already killed at this intersection!!
