Description

There is a large rift growing over the last 3-4 years in front of 2531 Overlook that has gotten bad enough to scrape off bumpers and chassis of passing vehicles. The neighbors at 2540 Mockingbird behind my house installed a landscape project W/O permit, inspection or even plans and diverted all their sub drain flow into a 15' deep dry well on the steep clay hillside. This dry well interfaces with the claysand bedrock creating a water freeway under my house and driveway, so I suspect it is causing the buckling in the street as well. I would like you to repair the street, but first it may be prudent to hire a geotech firm like Stevens Ferrone & Bailey or equivalent to conduct core samples and determine the cause of this very recent manifestation. I have conducted a geotech survey myself through a consultant and discovered that with the change in topography at the Mockingbird Hill property, addition of grass landscaping and changing the normal water flow through the dry well, 187000 gal of water have been diverted to a claysand bedrock interface that has never in 1000 years seen any water at all. This is causing heaving of enormous pressures and is most likely the cause of your street failure just as it is the cause of the recent structural failures on my property. Please get back to me with any questions or needed details and I will be happy to assist. The attached photos were taken before sunrise so they are a bit dark, but the street crew can @#$% the condition during normal business hours.
