Description
With Charles Spencer opening, there is now a huge back up of northbound traffic leaving Country Club West and trying to turn left (west) onto 68th Avenue in the morning. This morning, northbound traffic was backed up past 66 Avenue. Due to so many people who are southbound on 100th street turning west onto 68th avenue, it makes it impossible for northbound traffic to turn west when the light is green. Only 1 or 2 left turning cars are making it through after the light turns red. With left turning traffic backed up so far, it is not possible for those turning right (eastbound) onto 68th or those trying to head north straight through the lights to get through either. I have driven to work using this intersection for 12 years (back when it was a 4 way stop) and have never seen more than 4-5 cars waiting at this set of lights in the morning. The first day it was an issue was Sept. 2 and has been each school day since. There really needs to be a left hand turn light for traffic heading north and south on 100th street at the 68th avenue intersection.

I totally agree with you. Sometimes it takes about 10 minutes or more to turn left. There definitely needs to be an advance turn signal for traffic heading northbound turning westbound. I posted a complaint previously about this situation but hopefully the city will now expedite their problem solving.
Overall, all of 68th needs to be twinned as soon as possible to handle the current quantity of traffic. Sometimes traffic is backed up from HWY 40 all the way to resources and vice versa.
