Description
This issue needs to be brought up again, since nothing was done about it the last time the issue was raised, and was brushed off by the so-called highway and government "officials".
At the absolute LEAST, this intersection needs a Left-Turning-Green-Arrow setup, so that motorists who are trying to make left turns don't have to wait for 3 or 4 cycles of the traffic light before they can complete their turn.
This intersection is extremely dangerous, and needs to be improved immediately.
The 5-corners configuration is an absolute nightmare with the amount of traffic coursing through this intersection daily, and the outdated 1930's style traffic light which is at this location is completely inadequate and needs to be upgraded.
The citizens deserve better!!!

There are a lot of lights in Kingston and lots of lights that need adjustment. I drive through this intersection several times a week, and I do NOT consider it dangerous or as high a priority as you describe it. I can't say I ever have needed to take a left - but if that's a real issue (having to wait) then those drivers should perhaps find another path to their destination that avoids taking a left turn.
So what makes the intersection dangerous? Have you seen accidents take place? Is there is history of people getting hurt? If it really is dangerous, why?
Just bringing up an issue does not make it a priority. Saying people deserve better is not an arguement. Saying engineers should do their job is not an arguement. You need to build support. I for one think there are lights on Washington Ave that are in greater need of upgrading.
Why should this light be a higher priority?

i actually think that the light at that intersection can be tweaked a bit. coming off the tracks, and seeing somebody trying to make a left hand turn .... yeah ..... not happening.
