Several years ago the township asked to plant a cherry tree in front of my mother's house (367 Ewing Street). She said she didn't want it because she has no one to maintain it. They assure her that it was the township's responsibility to maintain the tree. I have maintained the tree the best I can as the township has never maintained it. However it is very overgrown and with the large trucks going up and down the street due to the construction of a new house, they keep pulling down branches that I am then cutting them up and taking to the Lawrence center as my section has already had brush pick up. I would like to request the township come and trim the tree to a desirable size.
